Essential Hard Candy Recipe 

You’ll need:
  • Microwave safe glass bowl 
  • Whisk
  • Measuring spoons 
  • Candy thermometer (optional)
  • Hard candy molds
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups of suagr 
  • 1/8 tsp cream of tartar 
  • 2/3 cup of water 
  • 12 drops of blue raspberry 2x 
  • liquid food coloring (as desired) 
  • coconut cooking spray

Directions:

  1. In a medium saucepan mix 2 cups of sugar and 2/3 cups of water in a stainless steel pot. 
  2. Add 1/8 tsp cream of tartar to mixture. 
  3. Stir ingredients over medium heat until sugar dissolves, bring to boil.
  4. Without stirring, heat to 290 degrees F, you can place your candy thermometer to assist you with the temperture or until a small amount of syrup dropped into cold water forms hard, brittle threads.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in flavored blue raspberry 2x and food coloring of choice.
  6. Pour into coconut oil greased hard candy molds.
  7. Let cool, and pop out candy when settled.
  8. Enjoy!
