Essential Hard Candy Recipe
- Microwave safe glass bowl
- Whisk
- Measuring spoons
- Candy thermometer (optional)
- Hard candy molds
- 2 cups of suagr
- 1/8 tsp cream of tartar
- 2/3 cup of water
- 12 drops of blue raspberry 2x
- liquid food coloring (as desired)
- coconut cooking spray
Directions:
- In a medium saucepan mix 2 cups of sugar and 2/3 cups of water in a stainless steel pot.
- Add 1/8 tsp cream of tartar to mixture.
- Stir ingredients over medium heat until sugar dissolves, bring to boil.
- Without stirring, heat to 290 degrees F, you can place your candy thermometer to assist you with the temperture or until a small amount of syrup dropped into cold water forms hard, brittle threads.
- Remove from heat and stir in flavored blue raspberry 2x and food coloring of choice.
- Pour into coconut oil greased hard candy molds.
- Let cool, and pop out candy when settled.
- Enjoy!
