How to Use Extracts to Flavor Drinks

There are many different ways to customize your drinks. Adding flavor to drinks is skyrocketing in popularity, as people are increasingly identifying it as a fun way to express their individuality and creativity. Check out this guide on how to use extracts to flavor drinks to get started on your fun flavor journey!

Flavoring coffee drinks

Who doesn’t love a fresh, hot cup of joe? A nice hearty cup of coffee is just what you may need to start your day off right. It has the right kick of wake-up juice and the perfect deep flavor. The only thing missing? A fun flavor twist! Many people use syrups to flavor coffee, but this deters coffee-lovers who are passionate about the bitter taste. Using a chocolate extract is a great way to make a beautifully flavored mocha coffee with the perfect amount of sweet.

For a fun twist on a classic breakfast, try making a cinnamon bun coffee! Just add some cinnamon extract and a dash of your favorite cream, and you have a lovely treat in a cup.

When you’re adding extracts to coffee, add 1/4 of a teaspoon at a time and taste test before adding more to avoid overpowering the coffee.

Flavoring water

Flavored water is having a moment. Everyone knows how important drinking enough water is, but sometimes the lack of taste can make it a drag. Try mixing and matching flavors to make your water exciting and delicious by testing two or three different fruit flavor extracts to create your own custom flavor. Combine orange extract, raspberry extract, and coconut extract to make a delicious and tropical-tasting fruit punch!

There’s no end to the possibilities you can create by using extracts to flavor drinks. This way, you get to flex your creative muscles, enjoy a refreshing and delicious beverage, and stay healthy with a higher water intake. Add water extract flavoring 1/8 of a teaspoon at a time until you’re satisfied with the flavor.

Flavoring sodas

Soda flavorings are always a popular choice. With flavoring sodas, combinations are key to a mouth-watering taste. Don’t be afraid to step outside the box and try an exciting and unexpected combo, such as grape and lime. The flavors might just complement each other in ways you never would’ve imagined! Try mixing and matching three to four different flavors into a plain club soda for a brand-new flavor experience. Flavor sodas the same way you would water: add 1/8 of a teaspoon of each flavor at a time, taste-test, and add more until you’re happy with the flavor ratio.
